Citizens Cymru Wales

Who are we?

We are Citizens Cymru Wales, a Citizens UK Chapter. Twenty five members form our alliance from schools, universities, mosques, churches, refugee sponsorship groups and community organisations.

Together, we organise to overcome injustice and win change on the things that you and your local communities care about most.

Since our founding in 2014, we have organised to:

Persuade Nando’s to offer Halal chicken.
End letting agency fees for renters in Wales.
Welcome refugees in towns and villages from Penarth to Pembrokeshire.
Win a real Living Wage uplift for over 50,000 care workers across Wales
Turn our capital into a Living Wage city!
In 2020, our work was recognised by the Sheila McKechnie Foundation, and we were awarded the Best Community Campaign award!
