Who are we?
We are Leicester & Leicestershire Citizens, a Citizens UK Chapter. Hundreds of people have united to form our alliance, from schools, universities, faith institutions, community organisations and charities.
Together, we organise to overcome injustice and win change on the things that you and your local communities care about most across the city and county.
Since our founding in 2020, we have:
- Taken action to work with local employers to support them becoming accredited Living Wage employers
- Campaigned nationally for School-Based Counselling in every school in England
- As part of our Anti-Racism and Refugee Welcome work, we have supported 25 member schools to become accredited 'Refugee Welcome Schools'
- And much more!
Training
The next opportunity for members to get trained up in the basic principles and tools of community organising kicks off on Thursday 3rd October.
