Who we are
Launched in 2010, Citizens:mk is a growing alliance of diverse community groups – churches, mosques, schools and others – working together for a thriving, inclusive and fairer Milton Keynes.

Using the methods and tools of community organising, our goal is to build a powerful civil society alliance that will work with all sectors of society for the common good of Milton Keynes. We do this by training people of all ages, faiths and backgrounds to take action together for change. Citizen:mk’s strategy is determined by a local Leadership Group.
Our wins to date include: Bus Passengers Charter (2015), New car restrictions outside Southwood School (2016), 50 Living Wage employers (2017), 50 civil society organisations in Weaving Trust for MK's 50th (2017), 250+ improvements to MK Redways (2018), Six Refugees Welcome schools (2018), Plastic free school canteen (2019)...

Our current campaigns include Housing & Homelessness, Action on Climate Change and Cycling Citizens.
