Welcome to our new Associate Organiser for Sunderland, Claire Rodgerson , from everyone at Tyne and Wear Citizens. Click here to read more about her background and plans for the future.

Claire has previously worked for Show Racism The Red Card with young people who are attracted to far-right politics, with sex workers in the North East as well as with the Quakers at the UN in Geneva. She is hitting the ground running and excited to be organising in her home town of Sunderland, uniting communities at a crucial time for the city.

Here is what Claire said: "I will be meeting with everyone in the Leadership and look forward to getting to know members over the coming weeks, as well as reaching out to new institutions. This will build upon work already carried out in the city, towards a strong alliance in Sunderland. Thank you to those of you who have already found time to meet and share your insights with me.
